Our Story
Founded in 2016 by Elias J. Mead, Bombay Bespoke was born from a passion for timeless design and tailoring without compromise. The idea took shape in Mumbai, where Elias became immersed in the city’s vibrant tailoring scene and discovered the artistry and precision of traditional suit-making. This experience inspired a vision: to bring exceptional fit, elegant design, and accessible made-to-measure tailoring to clients in the UK and beyond.

In 2025, Albina, Elias’s wife, joined as Co-Founder. With a background in fashion design and tailoring, she brought her expertise, creative vision, and attention to detail to the brand, shaping everything from proportion and colour to overall design.

Now based in London, Bombay Bespoke operates exclusively by appointment, offering a personal, considered, and effortless tailoring experience. Since its launch, the brand has created made-to-measure pieces for world-renowned musicians, CEOs, Oxbridge professors, Forbes 30 Under 30 winners, and film directors, while also supplying rowing blazers for University of Cambridge colleges. Every suit embodies craftsmanship, individuality, and confidence, making the experience as exceptional as the garments themselves.
Our Process
At Bombay Bespoke, we believe the tailoring journey should be as enjoyable as the suit itself. From the very first consultation, every stage is designed to feel effortless, precise, and personal. Together, we’ll explore design details, fabrics, and fit — all agreed in one sitting — before your suit is carefully crafted with uncompromising attention to detail. Around three weeks later, your suit is ready for its first fitting, which is often also the final one. Should any refinements be required, these are swiftly completed, ensuring your suit is ready to be worn with confidence. The result: a timeless piece, created just for you, with a process that is seamless from start to finish.
I — Consultation & Specification (Day 0)
A private appointment with Elias & Albina. Together we design your suit, choose the fabric, and take precise measurements — everything agreed in one sitting.
II — Crafting (Days 1–21)
Your suit is expertly cut, shaped, and finished with care. This stage takes around 3 weeks, ensuring uncompromising quality.
III — First Fitting (Around Day 21)
Your suit is pressed, finished and ready to try. In most cases, it fits perfectly and can be taken home immediately.
IV — Final Adjustments (If Required, +7 Days)
If any refinements are needed, we complete them swiftly within one week. Your suit is ready to enjoy for life's important moments.
